André Lucero (Fiction)
A veteran of West Coast underground electronic music culture, André Lucero continues to reinvent himself. From breakdancing in the early 80's to his present studio efforts, he always kept his focus on beats and sounds of genres to come. Starting with the earliest electro hip-hop, passing through time and space to the present and future of electronic music, his selections are open minded but always have a dancefloor sensibility.
Not being satisfied with spoon feeding or accepting convenience, André has chosen the paths less traveled. Helping foster the rave scene in Santa Barbara; playing at the first mega-rave in the US (Raveamerica); releasing one of the first (if not THE first) domestically produced underground electronic dance music mixed CD's (Fusion, Volume 1); his involvement with the seminal San Francisco techhouse event/DJ crew, Urban Development; to playing with international legends for Space Children, he has been recognized for decades as a stand alone talent who brings something special to the lineup. Sharing the decks with some of the heaviest hitters on the planet, he understands how to rock a crowd as well as to tell a story. No two sets from André are alike. Each moment drives the relevance of the music selection. Each moment is unique.
André has recently returned to San Francisco from a year in the midwest to concentrate on music production and continue promotion and growth of San Francisco's Fiction events.

The Worker (Fiction)
The Worker's first forays into San Francisco's music and club community began shortly after joining the Mission based eclectic world record label Six Degrees Records - exploring contemporary global electronic music. He produced and DJ'ed a weekly global electronic event called "Stateless" with DJ Special Agent K which grew into a monthly at Amnesia and eventually Rickshaw Stop - showcasing Smith and Mighty's Rob Smith, DJ/rupture, Filastine, Maga Bo, Kush Arora, Jef Stott, Mexican Dubwiser, Timeblind, Maneesh The Twista and others. At the same time he also produced the monthly Brazilian electronic night "Novo Soundz" at supperclub focusing on current Brazilian electronic artists with live video mixing, samba dancers and acrobatics. In 2007 and 2008 he produced and DJ'ed the label's WMC showcase events at Opium Garden, CIFO and The Standard Miami - which featured artists: Nickodemus, Gaudi, Maga Bo, Jef Stott, David Starfire, among others.
Over the last few years he's concentrated his DJ'ing and promotional energies on some of his primary musical loves, house and techno. Exploring the less conventional terrain of these genres, with mutant strains of disco, The Worker and the crew Fiction began their monthly night three years ago - an unpredictably wild affair at Polk St.'s Vertigo. In 2009, they moved to San Francisco's techno "epicenter," 222 Hyde, and began hosting some of SF's finest guest DJs - while establishing a unique musical flavor and solid, enthusiastic following. In addition, over the past few years, they've hosted one-offs at venues such as Mighty, Temple, supperclub, Pink, Asia SF and the Polk St. Fair. This has included opening sets for DJs and producers Adam Beyer, Joel Mull, John Selway, Claude Von Stroke, Worthy, Landshark, Lee Foss and Rob Rives.
