quick review....
long and fluffy, since not everyone has seen it< I will be vague.
I would have liked more insightful discussions with the various artists, like about gear and influences or creatiive process or spirit/sould of the art.
There were a lot of vaguary, is that a word? Great stuff with modeslector, and interesting other artists.
I walked out of there, thinking that was like a giant blow job to germany, and german techno producers.
I sort of felt like hey what the fuck, the director has been living in SF and doesn't go out, or talk about people here who have been at it for a long time. Also left out was oh you know the UK, countries besides germany, or canadian people.
But she only had so much time, and it was sort of this personal story too but it was both intimate and sort of abstract.
A lot of it was set in Boston and where the fuck was kooky scientist, he is boston all the way....
bonus point.
seeing the kompakt store, gave me the shivers, I went there 8 years ago and just about died in that store, with record gluttony.
