Fake Blood is an alias used by DJ Touché, also half of The Black Ghosts, one of the industry's most prominent new bands, hit the music scene with his massive track, Mars and has gone on to create remixes for the likes of Little Boots, Underworld, Dan Le Sac, and the Gossip. 2004 only got better for Fake Blood with his own immortal Essential Mix for Radio 1, providing the decks with his remixes for The Gossip, Miike Snow and Calvin Harris. Now fresh of the heels of a new EP entitled, Fix Your Accent, the EP contains three songs ranging from hard crunching electro, classic French House and some all important disco, causing tears of pleasure upon listening to his new disco sounds of the future...
His self-description says it all, “I MAKE MUSIC – AND I TAKE YOUR MUSIC AND DO WHAT I WANT WITH IT. IF SWALLOWED SEEK MEDICAL ASSISTANCE. WILL STAIN CLOTHES. WILL SOUND SPECTACULAR. ” Any questions?

Boy 8-Bit made his first steps onto the dance scene when Dj Touche (Fake Blood) included his track ‘The Colonel’ in his Radio One essential mix. Ever since his career has taken off, from his remix of Touche’s seminal track ‘The Paddle’ for Southern Fried Records, along with other high profile tracks such as Dave Clarke and Arthur Baker’s ’ This Feelin’ – which was supported by Radio One’s Essential Selection and Armand Van Heldens ’ When The Lights go Down’ which recieved plays from Radio One’s Annie Mac. He released his first single for Touche’s new Body Clap label followed in 2005 by his melodic bassline roller ‘Long Jeanne Silver’ which was described by IDJ magazine as a “Awesome Electronic Masterpiece” and given top marks with five stars out of five.

To date the Boy has almost 30 official remixes to his name. Recent remixes including Chromeo, Midfield General, Lethal Bizzle, Mika, Hybrid and The Black Ghosts. Look for new releases for the Boy on Diplo’s ‘Mad Decent’ label, a track called ‘The Suspense is Killing Me’ which will be backed by two other original tracks and a remix by Drop the Lime.
