::GUS & GRIZ::

Stemming from the cold American Midwest, Gus & Griz (Nicolas Will and Mason Yarnell) settled into San Francisco with over a decade of techno production, live performance and record spinning. With a number of album and single releases over the years, the duo came together looking to add some influential sound to the west coast techno scene.

Mason ("Gus") has produced deep and heavy rhythms that have energized the underground industrial scene since 1999. After building a strong catalog albums and remixes on a handful of legendary labels, he began a natural progression into dark, minimal territory, evolving his solid production techniques to create techno with depth, energy and balance.

Nicolas ("Griz"), a Minneapolis native, grew up in the 90's techno scene having been shaped by the influential sounds of Paul Birken, Woody McBride, Frankie Bones, Terry Mullan and Chicago's DJ Deeon. He's been djing and playing live since 1996 and co-founded the successful Numb3rs promotional group which threw numerous warehouse parties in and around the Twin Cities in the late 90's and early 2000's. Currently he has a handful of releases in the UK.

Late night sessions ensued when the two settled in San Francisco and will be releasing their debut on NLMX, a sub-label of Night-Light Music, based in San Francisco.

::ISTATIC::

ISTATIC, pronounced [iz-stat-ik], is Johnny James Follis and Andrew Walker. Originally from San Diego, Johnny and Andrew went to high school together and created a clothing company by the name of ISTATIC. As years went on both of their interests moved towards electronic music. Johnny and Andrew became determined to master the skill of mixing. After a year of constant practice, both Johnny and Andrew were ready to perform. They both knew how to DJ on their own but thought as a duo they would bring different aspects to the table. Sticking with the name ISTATIC they began to DJ at house parties. ISTATIC started to gain some momentum from party to party and were soon to be noticed. After recently learning Abelton Live ISTATIC started to produce their own beats. $uperfox, a well known San Diego DJ, just so happened to hear one of the tracks ISTATIC was working on. With $uperfox’s strong ties with the industry he wanted to bring ISTATIC to San Diego’s nightclubs, (and he did). ISTATIC’s first show, last November was a big debut, opening for Robbie Rivera at On Broadway, and also a big success. Since then ISTATIC has played at many of San Diego’s hottest dance spots including On Broadway, Club SPIN, and the underground. ISTATIC has also opened for Axwell, Fedde Le Grande, D. Ramirez, and many others. ISTATIC is bringing you the fresh sound of popping minimal and bouncing techno beats. They are busy in the studio producing techno bombs you cant help but groove to.
