The premier flyer was designed by Mahogany's dear friend and party cohort Norma Zepeda. Norma's love of imagination has been the inspiration for all her artwork, whether it be in architecture, planning, painting or graphic design. She has been involved in creative endeavors since her childhood days of finger painting and block building. Her Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from Detroit and the dilapidated structural landscapes of that city further fueled her awe of man-made structures, while nature’s enduring perseverance inspires her design. Today she resides in San Francisco, where she is working on creating a graphic design business for print and web applications. Designs range from club flyers, posters, local magazine ads and logos. KADENCE

There are very few things I understand in this world.
Being on a dance floor, closing my eyes, shutting the world out and letting music take control of me is one of the only feelings I truly comprehend. There are many people like me whose safe place is in sound and it gives me an unsurpassed high to be a catalyst that takes people out of their heads and into their bodies. My mission in music is to take you to that place, where you stop thinking and start feeling. As with most things I have become, a dj was by accident, and since 1996 I've been playing records for no other reason than not being able to live without it. This accident has brought me to take people on a journey through music from the east to the west coasts of America, across the UK and Europe, into Jamaica, the tropics of the Pacific Islands, and New Zealand. This is my light in the dark. This is my love affair, and I give thanks for letting me share it with you.

FARZANA

Lured by the prospect of glow in the dark pants, Farzana attended her first rave in Detroit in 1998. While she soon realized that day-glo pants were out, she quickly became obsessed with this thing called Techno which was very much in fashion at the time. She loved it so much she wanted to marry it. She soon realized that that was a bit inappropriate, so in 2002 Farzana bought her first set of Technics 1200s and began Dj'ing instead. If her and Techno couldn't have children she would at least put the moves on it. Techno and Farzana made a beautiful life together described most accurately as dark, dirty and funky. Their journey continues in the next paragraph.

Things were getting a bit boring in Detroit as Techno and Farzana seemed to have come to a standstill. If her DJ'ing career was to go anywhere she needed to get OUT. She heard that in California there were pretty pink ponies, sparkly fluffy clouds, and marshmallow dreams just being handed out to people. That was all the incentive she needed! In 2006, Farzana left the grimey streets of Detroit and moved with Techno to Oakland, California. Both her and Techno fell right in to the scene in San Francisco and they are both loving every minute of it. After being here for two years now Farzana has built up a name for herself and even though money can't buy happiness, she is a lot happier now that she bought a laptop and Traktor Scratch. So is Techno. Their relationship has been rejuvenated and is stronger and better than ever!! Stay tuned for development of this steamy romance....

BRACEFACE

Born out of punk rock and early industrial, Christine Tocalino spent her youth playing (and breaking) every instrument she could get her hands on. She took up the decks in 2005 and, realizing she had finally found her passion, soon hooked up with her musical partners: Brian Walls and David Marks to launch the East Bay's first weekly techno party - BOTTOM FEEDER (now happening every 1st Sunday at the Oasis in Oakland)- as a vehicle for exploring the raw, animalistic, and physical side of post-modern electronic dance music, for pushing the musical boundaries of its ever-morphing subgenres, while adding a hefty dose of humor and a splash of chaos to an art form that often takes itself too seriously. The techno they embraced was not sterile, cold and robotic - it was alive and hungry, unpredictable by nature, and sometimes it left stains on the carpet.

In the fall of 2007, Christine along with the Bottom Feeder crew expanded across the bay into San Francisco with a new monthly event - SOFT TARGET (3rd Tuesdays at 222 Hyde) - one of the four 222uesdays parties that are fast becoming ground zero in SF's blossoming techno underground.

Just three years behind the decks, Christine will impress with her unique taste and rare selections that are somehow tough yet delicate, powerful yet restrained, explicit yet subtle, thoroughly unconventional yet absolutely compelling on the dance floor, and often smoldering in the dark with a visceral sensuality. You can find her at her residencies and guest spots throughout the city. Get ready to sweat.

okay who love the ladies?!!? techno. hot chicks. boobs. what more could you want?

wow, this is very cool! Will definitely spread the word.

Have you guys ever thought of also doing any workshops to teach people how to mix or produce? There's a space that's looking for people to do that kind of stuff. It'd be nice to see people especially girls get into producing instead of knitting or boyfriending.

super great idea.

Love it.

I only hope i am feeling good enough to get out of the house, this last weekend did me in with a sickness.

damn rave SARS.
