12.31 BLKMARKET MEMBERHSIP NEW YEARS BASH: DJ KOZE / THREE / MARKUS FIX / RYAN CROSSON VS. SHAUN REEVES / TAIMUR+FAHAD

Blkmarket Membership proudly presents its first ever New Years Eve event with an all star cast featuring: DJ Koze / Three / Markus Fix / Ryan Crosson vs. Shuan Reeves / Taimur+Fahad.

DJ Koze aka Stefan Kozalla has been a long time musician. He has had some very rather interesting project such as running his early hip-hop outfit Fischmob, to becoming electronica's Adolf Noise, to his electronic band International Pony and still to this day, being DJ Koze. 'Thinking outside the box' has been Koze's motto since the start and it is why he has been under our radar now for a long time now. It is quite hard at first to understand his music as it seems rather odd, different and plain simply weird. But If you really put your head to it, its something fresh and different, not pigeon holing himself to one sound or one trend. A former turntable champion for many many years, Koze is a true turntable wizard and pioneer. This year he was voted by Resident Advisor as #16 best DJ in the world. His 'Reincarnations' compilation on Get Physical was voted #3 best in the world also by RA. His records have been staples in Blkmarket Membership DJ sets and we are very proud to have such a talent playing an extended 5 hour DJ set for us to mark his New York Debut.

Three has been part of the Blkmarket Membership family for quite some time since we first started. His recent 5 hour closing set at our Sasha event turned many heads. We definitely have to say it was the best set out of 2009 for us and I think many could say the same. Smart, intelligent and ahead of the pack. For good reason also as he's been around the world with multiple visits this year to London (Fabric / Superfreq / T Bar), Berlin (Panorama Bar, Divisionaire, Watergate), Tokyo (Labrynthe Festival / Unit), Portugal, Spain, Australia and more. 2010 promises to be a massive year for Three. With new music and mixes from Butane, Gadi Mizrahi, Reverse Commuter, Sycophant Slags, Seth troxler & Inxec, Hallucination LTD is coming back strong with a bang. It was a difficult decision who we were planning to have as our special guest for New Years Eve, but after much thought, we have to say that Three was best to fit the bill. He will once again be providing us with a special closing set like he did last month.

Markus Fix's tracks are in almost in every DJ's record bags. Hes produced countless tracks and remixes on labels such as Be Chosen, Below, Cecille, Deep Vibes and more. One of the main Cecille and Oslo records artists, Markus has been recently picked up by Sven Vath's Cocoon agency and since then his career has been booming. A while back we brought him for his U.S debut and unfortunately the night was affected due to the bad weather. His set was sooooo damn good that we said we would bring him back soon again and low and behold, he is back for New Years Eve. Be sure to check out this talent.

Ex-Detroit boys, now popular Berliners, we bring you Ryan Crosson and Shaun Reeves. These 2 are part of the leading group of artists who are taking the scene by storm with their special afterhours induced music. Their recent back 2 back set at the Resolute's WMC event this year was one of our highlights at the conference. Also part of the Wolf+Lamb brigade, Ryan and Shaun have been very busy this past year both with studio work and touring around the world. Ryan Crosson also goes under many other monikers such as Berg Nixon on M_nus, Ian Grosson, Birds & Souls and Visionquest (who are Ryan, Lee Curtiss and Seth Troxler.) Shaun Reeves has tracks and remixes on Wolf+Lamb, Raum musik, Simple Records, Safari Electronique. He also produces under monikers HOT w/ Seth Troxler, and The Royal We alongside Seth and Hector. With many new things coming up in 2010 for them, we are very happy to have them play our last party of 2009 with a back 2 back DJ set that will blow you away.

Last but not least are the residents Taimur+Fahad on the lineup. These 2 have had a massive year, bringing in the best of the best to come play their popular party alongside them, right at their very own doorstep. Their motto from Blkmarket Membership's first day has been, 'to bring in talent that inspires us as DJ's.' That motto has stuck strong until today and it's no wonder why their party is the best in the U.S at the moment. Be it opening or closing at their parties for their guests or even playing back2back and at afterhours, Taimur+Fahad have earned the respect from many in the US as well as from their artists that they bring in. They are regarded as some of New York City’s finest DJ’s in this city’s techno circuit. They will be opening up for what is to be a night to remember...
