arturia's stuff is awesome but its cpu intensive... and its dongle protected. :( I despise dongles. I have them with my korg analog collection and really dispise having to use it on my laptop.
oh cool.. yeah ill need to check that out. I recently bought a mac pro, everything is smooth as butter. Live rarely hits 10% cpu with lots of vsts running. i shouldn't have a problem with arturia's software. What i really want is the Arturia CS80. that thing is so sweet. just being able to play some Vangelis / bladerunner pads is heaven. but that dongle is bullshit. I used to have one for logic a few years back and that had one.
For those looking to compare minimonsta to arturia's minimoog. In my experience with both, minimonsta has better presets for raw bass and can overall handle the low end better than arturia. I think arturia tries to be too faithful to the original circuitry which ends up being counter productive for today's studios. I would recommend minimonsta over arturia..
