“Tarry Not” is the debut album from Northern California's Christopher Lee, better known as Limaçon. The emerging producer has had a string of well-received tracks on labels such as Poker Flat, Resopal and Auralism – as well as here on Thoughtless. But rather than just releasing a collection of singles or simply updating his take on minimal, he's opted instead to explore a wide range of possibilities, from deeply sculptured tech-house to searing futurist techno. While integrating huge bass grooves throughout, his immaculate sound design makes for a refreshing blend of engineering marvel and raw, lowdown funk.
