DJ TOP TENs

hey i was curious if anybody wanted to share your favorite top tens or top 20s for that matter and why.

links to discogs, where to buy, and audio samples etc. would help.

just stuff that's been really moving you as of late. you don't have to share your secret weapons just stuff you been digging on new or old.

i can start..

sharpshooting on saturn by the black dog
http://songza.com/~c15z24
it starts as a lazy electro track but winds up as a pretty sick techno track based on the 16th notes at the end. love it.

man i don't what it is with me and the electro recently. maybe its cause i own a 707 and a 606 (could be it). but this one is really good to blast out your bass bins with. it just makes you want to shout GO BERLIN!

ethos 9 by ken ishii
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0018Y3MU2/ref=mu_dm_alb_dp?ie=UTF8&qid...
i'm not much of a drum and bass fan but i recently dug out jelly tones again and i fell in love with it. you can hear the love and craftsmanship and expert use of the sampler in this track also the pervasive audio illusion of the album's wobbly warbly soundscape is pretty apparent in this track as well.

2am on a silo by terre thaemlitz
http://www.discogs.com/Terre-Thaemlitz-Tranquilizer/release/7126
ok so i like old music but i can't get over how fresh this stuff still is. good electronic music does not have a date. i really love this track, even though its ambient it still puts me in 'that place' whatever you want to call it. halfway between dreamstate and wakefulness i guess.

tree of life by johannes heil
http://www.discogs.com/Johannes-Heil-Freaks-R-Us/release/683145
this song is just FUHKdt up. its bangin rezzy acid bass line and over the top deranged vocals really make you want to play it in very inappropriate places while on obscene amounts of chemical intoxicants. maybe at a bar mitzfah or a prissy scenester hang out. BANG BANG BANG.

Orbit by model 500
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_dmusic?url=search-alias%3Ddigital-musi...
whenever i'm listening to this song i find it difficult to know where i am or to actually concentrate on the beat or where the song is at. it is the soundtrack for daydreaming. if you want to trip yourself out while on 'the natch' (that's serfectly pober to you L7s out there), then this song is for you.

rivers and bridges (1996) by scanner
http://www.discogs.com/Scanner-Sound-For-Spaces/release/57242
i just really like the story told by scanner in his simple calm english accent about the the ironic tragedies that plagued the construction of the brooklyn bridge. the ambient soundscapes provided afterwards are uniquely scanner and you can tell there's alot of quality in there. what has always surprised me that he's always been able to get a rich sound out of such a small suitcase studio set up.

sex with the machines by anthony rother
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AdkB9B8sPZs
more from my electro kick as of late. maybe i am digging on electro as well because it never really has a date stamped on it. its always been classic and it will always remain that way. this track just has a really deep robotic rezzy feel that makes me feel woozy. lovely.

artamis by luciano
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrybyzhWwK0
who can't love this fucking track? if you don't like this track you hate good music. liked it for awhile and its still one of the ones i always come back to. <3 ja das ist lekk-ah!

See you inside by joint effort
http://doboxrecordings.com/df/dbdf006-see_u_inside.mp3
gotta represent the bay with a dobox recording from the SJ. derek (aka the rhythmist ) A&R for dobox has always been really good at picking out an album and this track is from a compilation of dobox recording artists that really came together to define the sound of san jose. derek had described san jose as being called at one point 'little detroit' and with this track its easy to see why. check out dobox recordings most of their tracks are free to DL.

i guess that's my ten for the now... but i'd love to make this thread a permanent forum topic. so post your top tens if you gottem and let us hear what you be digging on as of late. you don't even have to be a DJ just some guy that's got cool tracks to share.

peacy,

sean.
