Machines are Dhyan Moller's middle name--he is a huge proponent of analog equipment, and this record is a great example. The Serge Modular Synthesizer and Metasonix A$$ Blaster are both in heavy usage on this fantastic EP. "Quirkey Donkey" is a funky minimal number with all its blips and beeps in the right places, a thick beat, and solid bass groove. "Lost in 3s" brings the dub techno sound forward injecting more energy and tech-house elements into the flow while maintaining that warm-deep-dubby atmosphere from this genre that we all love.

Nikola Baytala (KONTROL, S.W.A.T., Bionic)-- Lost in 3s is the one for me. NICE AND DEEP, nice moves.

Alland Byallo (Nightlight Music, Liebe Detail, KONTROL)-- I really like Lost in 3s, that B-side is really lovely!!!!

Riyaz Khan (DIVERSIONS, 105.5FM-Toronto)-- Wow! A solid pair of tracks-loved 'em both, though I'd give a slight edge to the title cut with its oddball sounds and effects. Will play for sure!

Stryke (Tronic, Plastic City, Three-O-Five)-- Digging Lost in 3s, kudos!

J.Rogers (Blipswitch, Surya Dub)-- Great "modern" tech-house play on the dub techno sound on Lost In 3s. I love the funky blip/blap games on the title track though. Groove kills me everytime I hear it!

Galen (Pacific Sound)-- I love the deep pad groove in Lost In 3s. Great for a mellow bliss-out session.

This filthy EP highlights SHDWPLAY’s signature “Minimal Punk” sound perfectly. Dark, bouncy techno grooves drag along dirty synths and sexy cynical vocals. The punk aesthetic is in full effect here, though it may be getting filtered through a glass of fine Berlin minimal/techno. Mando Soria brings the bounce up a notch with a funky naughty bass/kick groove that won’t stop. Grab those leather pants and some dark sunglasses, let’s do this!
