Yamaha HS-80 Studio Monitors - $500/pair

I bought a pair of these thinking that I was going to set up a home studio, however, this is not going to be the case in my current apartment, and therefore, I don't need these. I've barely used them since I bought them a few months ago, so they are in NEW condition.

I only have the box for one of them unfortunately, but I have two long XLR cables that I'll include. I bought them for $700/pair + tax, so I was hoping to get at least $500 for them since they are in brand new condition.

don't want to make these harder to sell, but just FYI guitar center will do price-matching on these down to below $600 for a pair. sean i'm not sure where you got them from or how long ago -- you might still be able to go get some cash back from the store if they have a price-matching after purchase policy.

I checked up on this and the cheapest I could find them online was $700 for a pair. Guitar center will match that for sure. Mark where did you see these for cheaper than $600? Anyways, I'm still selling them. $650 or best offer.

It could have been a special promotion, I don't remember exactly. I was checking out monitors at Guitar Center, and the sales guy literally just pulled up Google Product search to price match... might have even just been Buy.com or something.

I just checked these out this weekend at guitar center. Although I havn't done a mix on them. I am definetly getting them for my primary pair of reference. Way tighter than the mackies and krks. I thought they were better than the adam monitors.

The only downside is that they are extremely bright. Ear fatigue and tiredness from using this over a couple hours has got to be guaranteed. All the other monitors i listened to sounded like they rolled off the high end. where as on these the bass, mids and highs all felt like they were on the same level.

Mcslee is right about guitar center... surprisingly they are significantly lower than any online price i've found. They'll even do price beating... so you could go back and forth between different stores that do that. haha... :)
